Mark studied Bachelor of Science in Animal Husbandry and Doctor of Veterinary Science and Medicine at Central Luzon State University, Philippines.

Prior to joining VES, he volunteered full-time as a veterinarian in the Philippine Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals after his graduation in 2012 and passing the Philippine Veterinary Licensure Exam.
