Dr Tan Shun Jing graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2018, and prior to that he has received his Diploma in Veterinary Bioscience from Ngee Ann Polytechnic in 2013. He has a general interest in Soft Tissue Surgery, Ophthalmology, Internal Medicine, and Diagnostic Imaging, and sought to be a “generalist” at this stage in his career.
Since qualifying as a veterinarian, he has practised in a first opinion practice within a lovely village in Southeast England for almost 7 years, with a stint as a Night Vet at the regional 24-hour hospital. During this time, Shun Jing has developed an interest in ECC and pursued a Postgraduate Certificate in Small Animal Emergency Practice with the University of Chester in 2022. His philosophy is that veterinary medicine isn’t just about looking after the pets, but the families around the patients too. He is excited to be back to sunny Singapore, and providing the same love and care to your furry loved ones at VES.
Outside of work, he unwinds with weightlifting, and uses it as an excuse to enjoy all the delicious foods back in Asia. He is also glad to be able to spend time with his loved ones, including the family cat Henry.
