After graduating from the University of Zaragoza, Dr Domingo completed an internship at the Animal Medical Center in Manchester, UK, and worked in two large hospitals in the UK where he obtained RCVS Certificates in Small Animal Medicine and Veterinary Cardiology. Then, in 2006, he joined the University of Bristol as a resident where he spent 7 years in two residency programmes: first in Small Animal Internal Medicine and then in Veterinary Cardiology, which led him to become a double Diplomate in Small Animal Internal Medicine (ECVIM) and Veterinary Cardiology (ECVIM and RCVS) and a European and RCVS Specialist in Small Animal Cardiology/Veterinary Cardiology.

 

Since then, Dr Domingo has served as the Head of Cardiology Service in multiple referral hospitals, including the University of Bristol Small Animal Hospital, Southfields Veterinary Specialists and the Catholic University of Valencia (UCV). He is also the director of the European residency programmes ECVIM-CA in Cardiology and Internal Medicine. Dr Domingo now practises with VES Hospital in Singapore.

 

Dr Domingo did his PhD studying the cardiovascular effects of Leishmania Infantum. He has published numerous scientific articles, written book chapters in Cardiology and Respiratory Medicine and has received research grants. He has also lectured extensively at national and international conferences. Dr Domingo’s main areas of clinical interest include advanced echocardiography, interventional surgery and the interaction between cardiac and respiratory conditions.
