Dr Katherine graduated from the University of Liverpool UK in 2007. Following a period in primary care practice, she returned to Liverpool to complete first a rotating internship, and then a residency in veterinary anaesthesia and analgesia.
Katherine passed the European Diploma to become a specialist in 2016. She has since worked in both private referral practice within the UK and in 2018 returned to the University of Liverpool as a Senior Lecturer in Small Animal Anaesthesia.
Her clinical interests include loco-regional anaesthesia and pain management as well as patient safety and human factors in veterinary medicine. Katherine also serves as a trustee of the Association of Veterinary Anaesthetists and is part of the Education Committee of the European College of Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia.
Outside of work, Katherine enjoys travelling, keeping fit by running and walking her two golden retrievers Monty and Milo, as well as spending time with family and friends.
