Dr Pauline Jamieson graduated from the University of Edinburgh’s Veterinary School before completing a PhD in Endocrinology at Edinburgh University’s Medical School. She then underwent her clinical training in Edinburgh, and obtained the Diploma of the European College of Veterinary Internal Medicine before undertaking a Research Fellowship at The Salk Institute for Biological Studies in California.
Pauline then returned to Edinburgh as a Senior Lecturer in Cardiovascular Science and Small Animal Medicine, and was a practising clinician in the University’s Veterinary Internal Medicine Clinic and a veterinary clinical researcher throughout that time.
Following seven years working in private referral practice in the UK, Pauline joined the Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Hospital in Singapore in 2024. She has a strong commitment to both education and clinical research and is a Board member of the Society of Comparative Hepatology, and the ECVIM Clinical Studies Fund, and a Consultant for the Veterinary Information Network. Her particular areas of clinical interest include endocrinology and hepatology.
In her spare time she enjoys horse riding, kayaking, hiking and snowboarding with her partner Mark (who is also a veterinarian). She also teaches gemmology and cuts gemstones, and makes regular trips to exotic locations of gemstone production.
