Dr Elodie Yam graduated from Murdoch University, Western Australia and worked in small animal general practice in Perth, Western Australia before undertaking an ECC internship and residency back at her alma mater Murdoch University. During this time, she also completed a Graduate Diploma of Education, and a double Clinical and Research Masters degree on the effects of synthetic colloid therapy on total protein and colloid osmotic pressure measurements in dogs.

 

Dr Elodie became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care in 2019. Since then, she has worked in private referral practices in Perth, Western Australia, before joining VES in 2024. Dr Elodie’s clinical interests include cardiac and respiratory emergencies, shock, and trauma medicine, and is passionate about partnering with referring veterinarians to provide the best outcomes for critically ill patients.

 

In her spare time, Dr Elodie enjoys camping, travelling, pilates, learning about interior design, and architecture, and spending time with family and friends.
