Dr Alastair graduated from The University of Edinburgh in 2001.
After spending two years in mixed practice in Scotland, he undertook a general internship at a private referral hospital in southern England. This led to an internship in Anaesthesia at the University of Bristol, followed by a residency at the University of Glasgow.
In 2012 Dr Alastair moved to the University Veterinary Teaching Hospital in Sydney, where he was employed as Registrar in Veterinary Anaesthesia, progressing to Head of Department. He holds the RCVS Certificate and a European Diploma in Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia. More lately he has been working in several referral centres in the UK. Dr Alastair is interested in all aspects of veterinary anaesthesia.
Dr Alastair’s hobbies include learning to play golf and the bagpipes.
