The Orthopedic and Neurosurgery Departments are led by Francois Saulnier Troff, our European and RCVS recognised Specialist in Small Animal Surgery. Orthopedic and neurological conditions do not always carry the same degree of urgency.
This department admits and treats patients through direct referral or after an initial staging and work-up by other departments including our Internal Medicine or our Emergency services.
Imaging forms the cornerstone of many of the diagnostic work-up required by our other departments. Misunderstanding or misinterpretation at this level of the investigation can greatly affect the clinical decision and the outcome for your pet.
Our Internal Medicine department takes referral from your family veterinarian for cases that require in-depth diagnostic workups, advanced procedures or treatments. A primary veterinarian may refer cases that are puzzling diagnostic challenges, or with patients that have multiple conditions or serious long-term illnesses.
VES Hospital provides external echocardiographic examinations as well as full cardiac consultation referrals.
The Ophthalmology department at VES Hospital aims to provide a prompt and efficient referral service for the veterinary community and small animal patients in Singapore. Pets can develop a wide range of medical and surgical ocular conditions. VES Hospital is fully equipped to diagnose and treat veterinary eye diseases and infections.
The intensive care unit or ICU, is a section within our hospital that looks after our most critical patients whose conditions are life threatening and/or need constant monitoring. Our ICU is well equipped to treat even the most complex diseases. It is constantly staffed with experienced clinicians and technicians to ensure pets receive the best comprehensible care they need.
