VES Hospital is looking for an Oncology specialist

VES Hospital is the first and only dedicated multidisciplinary specialty / referral hospital combined with a 24/7 emergency care in Singapore.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and talented Oncology specialist to join our existing and growing team. Delivering expert patient and client care, compassion, collaborative approach and great communication with the referring veterinarian community are fundamental to our vision. To enhance our collaborative relationship with the referring veterinary community, we do not offer general practice services.

You will be working as part of a multidisciplinary team that includes specialists in Diagnostic Imaging, Surgery, Anaesthesiology, Internal Medicine, Neurology and referral clinicians in Ophthalmology and Emergency and Critical Care. The team is multicultural (Europe, US and Singapore) with a solid experience in referral hospital practice. Equipment in our 9,000sqft facilities includes digital radiography, ultrasound, echocardiography, C-arm, rigid and flexible endoscopy, in-house laboratory, dedicated ICU and critical care monitoring, GE 32 slices CT scan and very soon MRI.

VES Hospital was founded in November 2017 and has since developed to a large multidisciplinary clinical team with specialists and referral clinicians in Anaesthesiology, Diagnostic Imaging, Emergency & Critical Care (ECC), Internal Medicine and Cardiology, Neurology, Ophthalmology and Surgery. New specialty departments are as well being added in the next few months.

– Partners with Talent Acquisition to recruit, interview and hire new associates including Medical staff.

– Partners with Learning & Training to ensure associates have role-appropriate training completed.

– Ensures work schedules for all hospital associates are established and in alignment with operating plans.

– Manages daily flows and delegation of hospital administration tasks.

– Maintains confidentiality of associate records.


  1. Communication:

– Managing Hospital internal communication with associates and external communication with BRM and communication officer.

– Managing Front Office with Officer and Client Services team.

– Personally, addresses escalated client inquiries & complaints if needed.


  1. Operations:

– Managing Hospital operations with Head nurse and Operations Manager.

– Ensuring a positive work environment in which the practice achieves its goals through cooperation between Vets/Specialists and Hospital/Nurse team.


  1. Financial Management:

– Working with supervisors to prepare financial statements and budgets, monitoring key performance indicators, and setting fees.



– Doctor in Veterinary Medicine is preferred.

– Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related discipline or equivalent experience is required.

– 4+ years of experience in a veterinary hospital administration role with a minimum of 2 years involving the supervision of others.

– Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office required

– Must possess excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

– Demonstrated capability to organize work efficiently, set priorities and establish plans or timetables for achieving goals.

– Demonstrated effectiveness as a leader capable of influencing and motivating others to success toward a common goal.

– Strong conflict resolution skills.
