What is a veterinary specialist?

Veterinary specialists are just like specialists in the human medicine field – these are veterinarians who have graduated veterinary school, and have undergone further post-graduate training and examinations to obtain specialist qualifications in their specific discipline. On average, it takes an additional 5 years to complete their specialist training.

Our specialists are experts in their chosen field, and are able to offer deeper knowledge, advanced diagnostics and treatments that may not be readily available in general practice clinics. We have specialists in the following departments: Emergency and Critical Care, Surgery, Internal Medicine, Anaesthesia, Dermatology, Diagnostic Imaging.
